LOCATION OF VINEYARD:
Viano, Reggio Emilia.
GEOLOGICAL ZONE:
hilly, with clay soil.
DENSITY OF VINEYARD:
7,000 vines per hectare.
PRODUCTION:
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot.
WINE MAKING:
Maceration for 21 days at around 28° in steel vats.
REFINING:
9-12 months in the bottle.
AGING POTENTIAL:
2 years, according to vintage.
COLOUR:
ruby red, with violet shades.
BOUQUET:
strong forest scents of red fruits, especially blackberries and blueberries.
FLAVOUR:
good balance with sweet tones.
PAIRINGS:
ideal with robust dishes such as roasted meats.
SERVING TEMPERATURE:
16-18° Clesius.
